Trails
The trails at Alpine Hills are designed for mountain biking, hiking, and running. The location offers quick and easy access to all of our community to enjoy nature and adventure at Alpine Hills Park.
Alpine Hills Adventure Park Trails – Phase 1 is roughly 1.2 miles of multi-use natural surface trails that have been constructed for the community to utilize. The trail begins near the entrance of the clubhouse at the west end of the parking lot, and along the perimeter of the property heading north and down the hill toward the creek and ponds with a meandering perimeter loop. The trails provide outstanding views, and are ideal for beginner users to hike, bike, run, or walk.
The Park District worked with Global Action Sports Solutions (GASS) on the design and build services association with Phase 1 of trails construction. Grant funding received in the amount of $68,600 from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) was utilized to cover the $105,000 in construction costs associated with Phase 1.
